Do You Have A Life Verse?

Do you have a life verse? One that carries you and holds you through difficult seasons?

While in high school, I stumbled upon a scripture that gave me hope; one that seemed to help me find healing and understanding. The verse is simple.

It says, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.

Jesus not only spoke to His disciples that day, but me too. This one simple verse reminded me that in this world I will have sorrow, tribulation, difficulty, and hardship, but through Christ, I have hope because He has overcome the world. The verse told me Christ was bigger than anything I faced in this world. Somehow that thought hit hard and edged its way into not only my thoughts, but my heart.
